I am still on a hunting expedition for fun new decor for the new house. I think that much is pretty clear. Today’s Disney discovery can be used in a multitude of ways and I love that fact! I can use this in the garden or outdoors or I could use it in my kitchen as a utensil holder! The possibilities are endless. I love to grow my own herbs and this would be perfect for that as well. Did I mention that it is designed by a beloved designer of Disney artwork? Let’s take a closer look at today’s Disney discovery, the Mickey Mouse planter by Jim Shore!
This planter is perfect for all the things I named above but I can picture a few of them lining my window sill in the kitchen growing fresh herbs to cook with. Jim Shore is a very talented artist and many people collect his figurines of beloved Disney characters and scenes. Why wouldn’t a Mickey Mouse planter by a perfect collectible as well?? I love the classic Mickey red, black and white (minus the yellow, of course) and the whole concept of the body parts. Mickey hands and pants and silhouette of his head…. all part of the kitchen collection I already have! The bottom of the planter has that scroll that is on much of Jim Shore’s Disney collectibles.
I love the price of this planter as well. It retails for $25 plus shipping. It is on a bit of a sale (used to be $27) but I think the craftsmanship is worth it. I also think the colors work well for Valentine’s day which is coming up…. yay for ideas! If you are interested in checking out more details or perhaps purchasing it, check it out here. Happy shopping!!!
