WDW News Today has discovered a first look at some of the AVATAR Theme Park Merchandise coming to the new Animal Kingdom section. This is a look at some of the pins being developed for the attractions. These pins not only give us a look at new merchandise, but even come clues to the details that will be used in the immersive story theme park of AVATAR.
The ACE Pin shows us that the Alpha Centaury Expeditions will most likely play a major part in the storytelling of this new land. ACE is set up to be the company that transports us to the planet of Alpha Centaury.
WDW News Today has pointed out that the packaging isn’t the usual Disney branding, which will help continue the illusion of being in Pandora. The boxes also look to me like we’ll be getting some fun pin sets that come with 2 surprise pins in the box.
The Pandora Pins will be themed as if being sold by ACE gift shops, to keep up the full immersion. I’m sure as more details are revealed we will see many other Pandora themed items that will have this flowing and authentic look. Mo’ara Valley is mentioned on several of the pins, this was something that was never mentioned in the original film, but could be a major place in the sequels. There is a Navi Cultural Relations, I wonder if this means we will have AVATAR character meet and greets. The Mountain Banshee Project is probably a pin for the flight ride. The Pandora Cavern Tours pin could also represent another attraction.
These new pins actually have me really excited about Pandora. It’s given just enough of a taste to get the mystery train rolling. What do you think of these exciting new AVATAR Theme Park Merchandise images?
