Yesterday, I shared a list of tee shirts that would be perfect to help you prepare for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Is it just a coincidence that today the actual Disney merchandise was revealed for Epcot’s 22nd festival? It is… and it’s a great coincidence! Let’s check it out!
I am starting with this because I LOVE Figment. I have said that many times so, for those of you that read a lot, you are probably shaking your head. I can’t help it! He’s my mom’s favorite and he is the first thing I remember when I think back to my first trip to Epcot. Fortunately, Epcot is giving him the love he deserves.
The Figment Ears shall be mine. Thankfully, I will be there opening day! The Apron is adorable and I even love the tee shirt! Let’s not forget that purple is one of my favorite colors. If I needed any mugs are tumblers, these would also be coming home (I need to clean out my cabinets in the next 2 weeks!).
Does anyone else get a Schoolhouse Rock feel from the graphics? I do and I am singing the songs as I type. I think this is genius! This is what the creative manager had to say about the merchandise on Disney Parks Blog:
“Each year we look forward to designing artwork for [Epcot International Food & Wine Festival],” explained Creative Manager Doug Strayer. “The art includes nods to Epcot’s 35th Anniversary on October 1, and beloved characters like Figment and Remy. As cast members, we love this event as much as our guests. It’s fun for us to see guests at Epcot wearing the artwork we created.”
What I want you to notice from the 2 photos above is the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Dooney and Bourke bags. Did you see they come in 2 different colors? There is the white, the purple and then, if you want to count the 3rd one, the full image Figment bag. The white one is the Annual Passholder bag, I believe! How freaking awesome! That’s a lot more choice than we have seen previously! We had already talked about these bags when we first got the sneak peek and you can find that HERE.
As we mentioned, the white bag looks to be the Annual Passholder bag and the rest of the items in this picture are the Annual Passholder exclusive items. There are pins, salt and pepper shakers, and accessories.
If you aren’t an Annual Passholder, never fear, there are salt and pepper shakers, pins and accessories for you, too!
The Brews Around the World collection returns this year with new designs by Susan Foy. This was quite popular last year. You can find the artwork on apparel and drinkware, including a new stainless steel growler and baseball cap with a bottle opener.
For the first time, there will be an “Eat to the Beat” concert T-shirt with a World Showcase-inspired guitar graphic. I can’t believe they didn’t come up with this before! Concert tee shirts are definitely a very popular souvenir.
Ratatouille’s Hide and Squeak is back this year and I, for one, cannot wait! I love doing this while I eat and drink around the World Showcase. It got a little bit more challenging last year and I hope they keep it that way. It really is fun for the whole family.
Look for these items at the Festival Center located adjacent to Mission: SPACE, and at select merchandise locations throughout Epcot. Select items will also be offered on Shop Disney Parks App and the online store. This tends to not include the Dooney and Bourke bags.
