I recently posted about the new dated 2015 merchandise coming to the Disney Parks and Disney Store online and there were some pretty great items. When I saw the newest merchandise concept art for what is being released later in the year, I almost passed out. There are new tee shirts, new Dooney & Bourke prints and, my absolute favorite thing ever, the new dolls entitled the Disney Attractionistas!! Sound like Fashionistas??? I feel like these were made for me. Let’s take a closer look at what the new merchandise includes.
I’m starting with the dolls because they are clearly meant for me! The above is the conceptual artwork for the dolls that are being released based on different attractions at the park. Disney Design Group Artist Mike Sullivan created the artwork for these two which look to me to be based on the tea cups (though it could also be the fabulous Alice in Wonderland ride at Disneyland) and The Haunted Mansion. I am in heaven and cannot wait to see these dolls in person. They are expected to arrive summer 2015.
The above is the print of the newest Dooney & Bourke to arrive this year! Black and white color palette of Mickey and Minnie on bicycles will be one of the new prints to arrive and the only one that has been announced thus far. I can’t wait to see what style bags will use this print!
With the Polynesian Village Resort finishing most of it’s construction later this year, it is not shocking that some new merchandise will be released in it’s honor. This tiki God is part of the new merchandise. The flames even glow! I have a few tiki loving friends that will be purchasing this immediately.
I am loving the new nutcrackers being released that pay tribute to themed lands and attractions at Disney Parks. I think it’s important with all the changes coming to the Parks to acknowledge where it all started. These nutcrackers are limited release and can be expected late in the year in 2015.
The above is a grouping of the different styles and patterns you will see amongst the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction products. There was such success with the Haunted Mansion merchandise, the Disney geniuses decided to create this new line based on Pirates of the Caribbean. I am kind of excited to see what this will look like!
There will be a series of new tee shirts released this year, as always, but the focus is definitely on the way it all started. Original attractions are in the forefront. Look for the 40th Anniversary of Carousel of Progress tee online from January 15-18 at the Disneystore.com.
Many people are fans of the Orange Bird. There will be new merchandise featuring the Orange Bird! Look for a new 7-inch plush; salt and pepper shakers; a towel set and more.
That is a good start for the year, I think. I am still most excited about the Disney Attractionistas! What are you most excited about? Do you have a favorite? Let me know in the comment box below!
