The weeks are literally melting away before I can get to the D23 Expo 2017. I am so freaking excited! I keep saying it, and I will say it again, there are so many cool things I saw at D23 Expo 2015 that I cannot imagine it getting much better this year. The Dream Store is one of my favorite places and I just learned more details about the new interchangeable bow collection that will be making it’s debut at D23 Expo 2017!
To be clear, this interchangeable bow collection is not available yet. It is making it’s debut at the Expo this summer. The Expo tends to reveal upcoming merchandise for the Parks. I am assuming this is one of those items because fashionistas everywhere are going to love this concept! Don’t go racing to Disney Parks now or check the App…. you won’t find it yet. Last Expo, the Pandora charms for Disney and’s 60th debuted at the Expo and appeared at Disneyland 2 days later.
Okay, now let’s talk about this collection. This is the starter headband and bow (above). This one is inspired by Minnie Mouse but there are 6 other bows we already know can be swapped out. If you are like me, you like to wear different ears each day you are at the Parks. This interchangeable bow collection would make packing so much easier! One headband and a multitude of bows takes a lot less room than a week’s worth of headbands!
As of this moment, we know that Cruella, Ariel, Aurora, Maleficent, Jasmine and the Queen of Hearts are all going to be available as interchangeable bows. I am pretty excited about this because Ariel, Cruella and Maleficent are go tos of mine! It’s like they read my mind!
The headband with Minnie bow (aka the starter set) is $29.99 and the bows are $16.99 each. The bows seem a bit pricey but if we are able to use our AP discounts when they are available at Disney Parks, it doesn’t seem so bad. I am expecting we could see these in the Parks as early as late summer, early fall.

Cute! And what a practical concept. Disney must be finally realizing how popular the character bows on Etsy are. I LOVE the Aurora one, so unique and pretty. I hope they expand the available characters. The price is a bit much for what you get, but that’s Disney I guess. Overall I am excited to see if they will keep making more characters, Belle, Cinderella, or Tiana would also make lovely bows.
