Next Wednesday Sept 14th, the 2016 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival begins and I am so excited to be able to attend opening day. I have been attending the festival for the past 5 years in a row, specifically for the seminars and special events, but the last few years I have also really gotten in to the merchandise….. especially the Dooney and Bourke bags! Last year’s design sold out before the end of the festival (as did the 2016 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Dooney and Bourke bags) and this year I am not missing out! The 2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Dooney and Bourke bags have finally been revealed!
These bags are definitely much different than the last few year’s designs! They are very busy and there really is no base color. I am okay with this. They needed to switch things up, I think, to have people who buy these items frequently stay interested! There are still 3 styles of bags being released and I am so excited to see a letter carrier!!!
The design is said to be inspired by the “many dining options you have during the festival, ” according to the Disney Parks Blog. Each bag, as per every festival Dooney and Bourke bag, will also come with a special hang tag commemorating the event. I will say I like that the different countries are well portrayed on this bag. I am an avid traveler and these bags have pictures from many different countries which, for me, allows this bag to transcend past the 2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!! Obviously, I use my bags more than just during the festival but this looks like a travel purse to me and I love it!
These 2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Dooney and Bourke bags will make their appearance next Wednesday, September 14th when the festival opens. These bags can be found in the festival center or Mousegears, usually. I will admit, I have never seen them in another shop, online or on the Shop Disney Parks App but that doesn’t meant things won’t change this year. They are really mixing things up with how have they been releasing merchandise, especially Dooney and Bourke bags!
