It’s Christmas in July!! A couple of months ago, I showed you the latest Disney Runway Shoe Ornaments that had made an appearance. I did not expect 7 more to appear so quickly. It is very exciting. This batch of Disney Runway Shoe Ornaments is such a great mix of classic and beloved, less appreciated characters. I am in love with a few of them and, never in a million years, did I expect to see some of them have their own Disney Runway Shoe Ornament!. Let’s take a look at the newest honorees.
I’ll use the first pic to tell you who these shoes belong to and then we will discuss each of them! We have Megara, Merida, Jessie,Roz, Marie and Edna ! I mean, did you ever think Roz or Edna would get their own shoe??? I am so excited! Let me take you through the design of each.
Megara, is the women that Hercules falls in love with. I love her sarcasm and wit. Her signature color is two tones of purple (you may remember this from our Disney Bounding look). She wears a high ponytail and that is the brown portion you see off the back of the shoe. The fact that there is glitter just makes her extra fabulous!
Merida is actually a boot! How fitting! She’s too busy riding horses and shooting arrows to wear dainty high heels! The boot is the color of her green dress we all know and love. The boot itself actually looks like the dress she is known for,folded into a shoe design! It is quite Scottish, with the tartan flap, and I think Merida would be proud of her Runway Shoe ornament.
Edna….. oh Edna. She is so spunky and in such a tiny package! She is known for her spunk (which is difficult to portray in a shoe) and her huge glasses.The glasses are definitely the focal point of this shoe. I bet you could stump a few people with guessing who this shoe belongs to. It follows in the footsteps of Mrs. Incredible, during the last release of Disney Runway Shoe Ornaments.
The next Disney Runway Shoe ornament belongs to Roz!! I love Roz!! She is one of my favorites. Every time I ride the Monsters Inc ride, at Disney’s California Adventure, I cannot wait for the end where Roz talks to me! This shoe is like they took Roz’s body and molded her into a shoe form! It has her little tuft of hair, her glasses, her color and the texture of her skin.It has her mole! It even has the trail of her glasses chain down the side of the shoe. It’s genius. If I had to pick only one of these shoes, this is the one I would pick!
Marie is a cute cat that we all know from the Aristocats. I personally love her white fur and her pink bow. This shoe showcases Marie’s pink bow as well her little tail, off the back of the shoe and the heel.
Jessie is the last of the new shoe ornaments… that I have a picture of. I don’t know that I need to explain this shoe because it looks exactly like Jessie’s outfit! The heel is her hair! They do such a good job of transforming every character’s wardrobe and personality into shoe form, don’t they??
The Fairy Godmother is the last of the new Runway Shoe Ornaments to appear. She is rather hard to find so I don’t have a picture of her but she’s out there somewhere!
