RunDisney Is Back In-Person This Fall

Although I’m not a runner, I have always wanted to take part in a runDisney race, so you know I’m super excited that runDisney is back in-person starting this fall! The 2021-2022 race season will include:

• Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend powered by AfterShokz: November 4-7, 2021
• Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend: January 5-9, 2022
• Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend: February 24-27, 2022
• runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend presented by Otterbox: March 31-April 3, 2022

Although due to COVID-19 guidelines, they may not look exactly the same as in previous years, race weekends will still be packed with magic! New opportunities include runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, the fourth weekend of each race season, where there will be different race themes and distances each year. There is also Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga in front of Cinderella Castle before the park opens on the first morning of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Each of the in-person races will also have a virtual race option, so even if you can’t be there in person, you can still have fun! There are even runDisney Kids Adventures during each event weekend focused on health, fitness, and fun for the little ones!

You can expect the magic of running through the parks, special entertainment, fun race weekend themes, and magical finisher medals! The 2021 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend’s theme is Wickedly Delicious and celebrates Disney villains! You can run a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon, or both the 10K and the half marathon! There will even be a Post-Race Party at EPCOT with after-hours access to the park and the International Food & Wine Festival. In 2022, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort while the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will celebrate courage and kindness!
