When it comes to Trick or Treat, I’ve always been a treat girl! I don’t have a sweet tooth, but 32 of them. Hold dinner, I’ll take dessert. Oh, I do love a good steak too. Or a cheesy Italian pasta. Well, maybe I’m just a foodie then? Therefore, this article is right up my alley and if you’re a food connoisseur, it will be up your alley too. Disney Parks blog released their Foodie Guide for sweets and treats at Disneyland and it’s scrumptious!
The Cute
Character Popcorn buckets and sippers are not only fun but have become collectors’ items. Remember the revered Figment popcorn bucket? Disneyland has announced they will have one Halloween themed sipper and two popcorn buckets. The first is the Donald the Candy Corn Sipper. Check out our temperamental fowl friend dressed as a kernel of Candy Corn with trick or treating bucket on his arm. This is a must-have! I need it yesterday! Next, is the Mickey Mummy Glow-in-the-Dark and Zero Light-up popcorn buckets. I’m pretty sure that Mickey bucket is coming home with me!
The Sugary
This adorable Mickey bat cookie jumped out at me. It has me chanting, “I vant to vite your head!” It’s a citrus shortbread cookie dipped in dark chocolate. This item can be found at the Market House and Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. Other new desserts include pumpkin cheesecake, Rocky Road Halloween Sundae and Halloween cake.
Of course, as usual, The Grand Californian Hotel Holiday Cart will have a ton of special treats. The gingerbread zombie Mickey cookies are new and a must-have!
The Potion
Lastly, what would Halloween be without magic potions? Make sure you check out Hollywood Lounge for bubbling adult brews. Six new concoctions were added to the menu for this spooky season. Blue Rum Cocktail, Cranberry Sangria, Prickly Pear Vodka Cocktail, just to name a few.
I could write a dissertation on all the lovely new delectables announced in the Foodie Guide. I cannot wait until next week when I can sample them! We will report live from Disneyland next week and promise to share all the sweets and treats!
