Belle presents as the next princess introduced into the Disney Designer Collection. The bold couture outfit, created by artist Heidi Ticehurst, identifies Belle’s spirit of adventure. Belle joins as the 12th doll added to the collection which is nearing its end of 15 princesses. Disney created only 9800 dolls for this limited edition making her a collector’s item for sure.
The designer did a wonderful job marrying her elegant style with the enchanted rose. First, the feature that stood out most to me is her peplum skirt, fashioned to subtly remind the viewer of soft rose petals. A brilliant red form fitting dress flares at the knees. Crimson brocade fabric accentuated by gold roses down the center and deep red velvet along her sides define the dress. Gold accents sprinkle the mesh overskirt, but nothing is more breathtaking than the rose hemline. It’s breathtaking! I wish it came in my size!
Belle’s designer gown strikes gold with the elegant accents. Tassels grace her ears giving a nod to current fashion trends. What would an evening gown be without elbow length matching gloves?
