It has been forever since we have done a Disney Bounding look and it is time to get back in to the swing of things! We have created some incredible Disney Bounding looks in the past and it is time to carry one the tradition. Why wouldn’t we start with the newest Disney character that is all about tradition?! Today we Disney Bound with Tropic Thunder Moana!
Moana is clearly a tropical girl. She lives in paradise and, in case you haven’t seen the film or even heard about her yet, she is Polynesian. We did a Disney Bounding look featuring Moana a while back but it only worked in warmer weather…. which we do not have right now. Therefore, we have created a look featuring a winter Moana! Stay with me on this.
Let’s start with, what I think is, the centerpiece of the look…. the skirt. I love this bohemian skirt. I admit it still may not be completely winterish but it is warmer than the shorts we originally used for Moana’s look! We were thinking something in the orange color scheme that works with the bohemian skirt, hence the beautiful flowy, orange top you see above!
It is winter so what else would a stylish fashionista wear but boots! These brown suede boots are just the thing a warrior princess would wear! I love that they are slouchy in design because something more rigid or military just wouldn’t seem right for Moana.
Moana is Polynesian and we took that into account when we chose the accessories. Hibiscus for her hair, a strong bohemian style necklace like her grandmother would have loved and a sea turtle bracelet because of her oneness with the ocean.
I wasn’t about to have you carry around something like a paddle with your Disney Bounding look so I found this leather fringe bag that really ties the whole look together!
