The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is celebrating more than incredible food and unforgettable flavors this fall. In honor of National Veterans and Military Families Month, the resort donated an impressive $15,000 to Wounded Warrior Project during its 16th annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic.

This is the second year in a row that the beloved culinary event has partnered with Wounded Warrior Project, continuing a meaningful collaboration that supports military veterans and their families. The donation reflects the resort’s ongoing mission to give back to the community in a powerful and impactful way.
During the closing moments of the two-night event, Sean Verney, area general manager for the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, presented the check to Savannah Simmons, Wounded Warrior Project’s Community Fundraising Manager, along with Sharona Young, a veteran and Wounded Warrior Project program beneficiary. It was a heartfelt moment that underscored the true spirit of the weekend: bringing people together for fantastic food, fabulous wine, and a truly deserving cause.
For those unfamiliar, Wounded Warrior Project was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The nonprofit serves veterans who served on or after September 11, 2001, and who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound during or after service. Their free, life-changing programs include mental health services, career counseling, long-term rehabilitative care, and so much more. Their mission is simple yet profound — to honor and empower wounded warriors.
As fans of Disney events and experiences, it’s always wonderful to see moments where magic meets meaningful impact. The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic already delights guests year after year, but knowing it helps support heroes and their families makes it even more special.
