Do you all remember 3 years ago when a beach inspired Dooney and Bourke bag was released? It was a vinyl Disney Dooney and it was also at the outlets a couple of years later. Fast forward to Aulani, a couple of weeks ago, when I went into Hale Manu (an upscale shop at the resort). I spotted the Beach Dooney and Bourke in 3 new silhouettes!
At first I thought maybe they just had old merchandise but, when I took a closer look, I realized that these were new silhouettes! This means that the Beach Dooney and Bourke bags have had a re-release (at least at Aulani).
When I talked to the cast members, they told me that these were brand new bags they had received in the last month or so. There were 3 silhouettes but one sold out so there were the above two you see. The small crossbody and the satchel. Apparently there had been a request from guests to have a waterproof bag. Maybe this means they actually listen to us when we voice our desires! New beach Dooney and Bourke silhouettes seem to be proof of that.
Now, this print has not been spotted on the mainland since it was seen at the outlets a couple of years ago. Perhaps this will be a new release on the mainland this spring. I really like the new silhouettes. That small crossbody is the perfect bag for me and it is super affordable at $138.
This is deja vu for me because this is exactly what happened with the Beauty and the Beast Dooney and Bourke print. Do you remember it was released, sold out and then was re-released as 3 new silhouettes?
