Kipling is celebrating Mickey Mouse’s 90th Anniversy with a new limited edition collection! The new Mickey Mouse Kipling Capsule Collection honors the beloved character, just in time for spring. The very special collection brings out the nostalgia for the True Original.
The collection is a true reflection of Disney’s long standing success and achievement over the past 90 years. The 25-piece collection includes a selection of backpacks, duffels, totes, handbags, waist packs, and also introduces a new tote style! The new tote style can actually be personalized through interchangeable pouches, which gives a fun bit of versatility to the line. Echoing retro designs and a timeless color palette consisting of red, white, denim, and black, the assortment exudes a playful yet sophisticated sentiment that is iconic to the Kipling brand. Prices for the collection range from $39 to $169.
Lead designer Christine Lee explains, “During the design process, our team thought back to Walt Disney as he conceptualized Mickey –everything was hand-sketched, artistic and organic –and for our brand, we didn’t want to divert too far from the original aesthetic, however, we still wanted to create designs that felt unique. As a team, we brainstormed for hours and each time we came back to the term of self-expression. This kicked off the collection and inspired us to create unique graffiti patterns and bring a classic character to life in a modern and relatable way.”
President of Kipling North America Nina Flood continues, “We’re so excited to have created a globally-offered collection in celebration of everyone’s favorite mouse.
