Recently, I was at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World and I was strolling past all of the little kiosks without much thought. Something caught my eye that I had to stop for. It was not part of my plan but this hidden gem was so fabulous, I needed to check it out. It is a small kiosk as you pass the Lego Store and head towards to World of Disney Store. The kiosk is called Eycatchers.
This is a name that is very suiting after the experience I had because that is exactly what happened. The kiosk sells reflective wind spinners that range in size and have all types of designs but it wasn’t until I noticed the large selection of Disney wind spinners that I got excited. These wind spinners are absolutely amazing. They are so detailed and colorful and there were so many people in line wanting to buy them, I knew that I was on to something.
This is one of the large wind spinners with the Mickey head outline in the center. These don’t fold up at all and are quite large but if you drove to WDW or had a large suitcase, I think you could manage to get them home. They look so beautiful as they spin in the wind and, let me tell you, it was rather difficult to catch a great picture because they move with such ease. They are made of metal but aren’t too heavy. The large ones are quite a bit more than the smaller ones but they are also quite large. I can’t imagine the work that goes into making them. They retail for $140.
These are the medium sized wind spinners. As you can see, there are tons of designs including the castle and Donald Duck. It’s also evident that they come in many colors. The medium ones range from $45-55. This is the size I prefer. If you look at the stationary picture, look at the bottom and you will see the small wind spinners with Mickey heads in the center. These are super easy to pack and the most affordable at $15-30.
The above are the medium size up close so you can see the detail a bit better. These were unlike anything I had ever seen. They would make an amazing souvenir and the best part is that very few people have discovered them yet! You could truly enjoy one of these on a daily basis.
There is a website for the non-Disney versions of these, eycatch.com, but the sales person informed me that the Disney ones can only be sold at Disney. The number at Disney World for the wind spinners is 407-870-8092. If you want more info or want to check and see if the ship, just give them a call.
