Did you know that in 2020 Space Mountain celebrates its 45th anniversary? It looks like there might be a new collection of merchandise to celebrate the momentous occasion, including a new pair of Space Mountain Minnie Ears!
These were spotted on eBay and can be found here. They appear to be a leaked pair of ears, that are part of the 45th Anniversary collection. The ears have a very retro space look. They also kind of remind me of the Jetsons with the lace tubing circling the bow. A hidden Mickey galaxy bow is also the standout aspect of these silvery sequined ears. Lastly, they are topped off with a Space Mountain badge in the center of the bow.
Other sneak peeks and leaks have popped up around the Disverse as well. There is the 45th anniversary pin available for pre-order here. There is even a glow-in-the-dark Passholder exclusive pin! Plus there has also been mention of a Loungefly backpack, and many other exciting Space Mountain inspirations.
While the collection has not been 100% confirmed, with all of the sneak peeks floating around, it looks very promising!
I might be a bit of a baby when it comes to riding Space Mountain, but I have always loved and appreciated this iconic ride. My family loves this ride though, so I can’t wait to see all of the fun for the anniversary!
