Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Is Coming October 1st!

Let me just say how excited I am about Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!  I am a sucker for all things Walt Disney World, so you know I am going to be obsessed with this celebration!  Plus, if the gorgeous logo is any indication of what merchandise will look like, then I’m going to need it ALL!  “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”  will be starting on October 1st in honor of Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary!  This event will include new experiences all over the resort and last for 18 months!

The word “EARidescence” is how Cast members and Imagineers are describing this fabulous celebration because of the shimmery and sparkling decorations that are coming!  Cinderella Castle is going to boast golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest along with extra pixie dust at night!  Nighttime magic will also enter the other parks with fireflies in the Tree of Life and new designs coming to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel!  Spaceship Earth will even have new lights as a permanent fixture that will create the illusion of stars in the night sky!

Of course Mickey and Minnie will also have special costumes for the occasion!  Their new looks will feature EARidescent fabric and gold highlights–just like Cinderella Castle!  I can’t wait to see all of the magic!  I better start planning my outfits now!
