There’s a light at the end of the tunnel! Disney just announced on the Disney Parks Blog that the Disney Springs reopening will begin on May 20th! Remember, this will be a phased reopening, so it won’t be business as usual quite yet. That being said, it will be nice to be able to visit a pixie-dusted shopping destination!
This first phase will include opening a limited number of third-party shopping and dining locations in Disney Springs. During this time, the parks and resorts will remain closed. New safety changes will also be implemented including extra cleaning, Cast Members and Guests wearing masks, and limited contact Guest Services. In addition, Cast Members will receive extra safety training. There also will be limits on capacity, parking, and operating hours during the Disney Springs reopening.
It is important to note that Disney will be learning and modifying plans with guidance from health and travel leaders, so all of this information is subject to change. The most up-to-date information can be found at DisneySprings.com, and we will try to keep you updated as well!
