Avengers Campus Opening on June 4!

After much anticipation, Disney announced that Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort opens on June 4! This fully immersive land in Disney California Adventure park is, “dedicated to discovering, recruiting and training the next generation of Super Heroes.”

Attractions

Perhaps the most highly anticipated attraction is WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure! This family friendly ride uses innovative technology to put your super hero web slinging to the test. I cannot wait to take my son on this ride! 

The other anchor attraction is fan favorite Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! This free falling adventure has six different storylines.

Guests will also have the opportunity for heroic encounters with Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Black Widow, Ant-Man and The Wasp, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Thor. Be on the lookout for villains like Loki too! Dr. Strange will be at an ancient sanctum that glows with lights and “mystic energy” at night. Plus, Spider-Man will be swinging around Avengers Campus with stunning acrobatic feats!

Shopping

There can’t be a new land without new shopping experiences! WEB Suppliers has the awesome Spider-Bots. I say that I want to get one from my son, but really, I want to get to play with it too. Spider-Bots have the option for tactical upgrades to “harness the power and style” of your favorite Marvel super heroes! This shop will also have accessories for your Spider-Bot, including a backpack for carrying your Bot when it’s not in action.

The other store that has been announced is the Campus Supply Pod, which will have official Avengers Campus logo gear.

Eats

I may be a Disney Fashionista, but Disney food gets me just as excited as Disney merch! Pym Test Kitchen will definitely be my first stop since the concept of a food innovation science lab sounds right up my alley. The tech that Ant-Man and the Wasp use has been applied to “shareable bites, inventive entrees and sweet treats.” The “Pym-ini” panini sounds especially delicious!

Shawarma Palace (love the reference from the first Avengers movie) is a food cart with lots of Avenger memorabilia. It’ll be the perfect stop to refuel on the go!
