Belle Stars in the new Dooney & Bourke Collection

Tale as old as time! Beauty and the Beast fans have a reason to celebrate today. Belle stars in the new Dooney & Bourke collection. With bold colors and rich jewel tones, this collection is perfect for fall!

Belle Dooney & Bourke Collection

First, I must say that I absolutely love the royal blue background of this collection! The color is so rich and vibrant and really reminds me of the overall feel of the animated film. In fact, that color is pretty much a perfect match to the dashing suit Beast wears in the ballgown dancing scene.

Moving on to the artwork, of course, there are plenty of rose image motifs throughout the designs. The brilliant red really pops against the blue! Now, let’s break down the two silhouettes in a bit more detail.

Tote Bag

First, we have the tote bag. This is sure to be a hit among collectors, especially those who have been collecting the Disney Princess Dooney & Bourke tote bags for years! On the tote bag, Belle stands tall and proud in the middle of the design, and she fiercely stares past us. This is an artistic approach to Belle’s normal appearance, but there is definitely something striking about it. On either side of Belle, you’ll find scroll work and rose vines traveling up the bag.

The back is a completely different image and tells us that this is a Tale as Old as Time. I adore that there are 2 different sides to this bag!

Crossbody

Next, the crossbody bag is perfect for the fashionista on the go and offers a bit of a different look. It features an all-over print of Belle framed among roses. When it comes to all-over prints, placement is always important. For this bag, you’ll want to avoid the Dooney & Bourke logo right over Belle’s face if at all possible. Personally, I like the repeating pattern of Belle and the roses. The design has a regal feel to it and the colors really are beautiful.

This collection was spotted at the Disney Store in Times Square. It was also spotted on eBay! Hopefully we will see it at the Disney Parks and online from DisneyStore.com very soon!
