Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open! This is just in time for Spring Break and warmer weather! This is the one park at Walt Disney World Resort I haven’t visited, and I can’t wait to go!
As we expected, Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopened on March 7th, which means Guests can now visit the melting ski resort! If you aren’t familiar with he story behind the park, legend says that there was a massive snowstorm in Florida that made locals want to build a ski resort. Unfortunately, when Florida got its normal weather back, all of the snow began to melt, creating Blizzard Beach! This is why you can still spot snow, snowmen, and plenty of melting snow creating fabulous water slides throughout the park!
In addition to the fabulous water rides, tasty treats, and refreshing beverages, there have been a few new updates! You can now take advantage of mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app at Lottawata Lodge, AvaLunch, and Warming Hut! There are also plenty of health and safety measures in place to keep you and your family safe and healthy like enhanced cleaning, temperature checks, and social distancing. Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members must also wear face masks while visiting. That being said, Guests can remove masks while traveling to the water slides since masks will not be allowed in the water or on any of the slides.
