Bret has previously collaborated with Ashley Eckstein on various designs, such as THIS collection for Disney Cruise Line, but this marks the first collection that’s entirely his own creative vision. Every piece features original artwork by Bret, who also played an active role in the design and construction process. From choosing colors and fabrics to perfecting textures, stitching, and overall craftsmanship, he found the hands-on experience both exciting and deeply rewarding.
Mickey Mouse Collection
Expedition Mickey is created around his own personal aesthetic, which has been based around vintage national parks and outdoor living. You can often find Bret outdoors exploring, wearing boots, denim, and flannel. Bret stated in the Disney Parks blog article, “This collection was a chance for me to really think about what Bret Iwan’s Mickey Mouse collection would look like.” He feels Mickey has an adventurous spirit, so the title of the collection reflects that attribute.
Bret Iwan’s Park Expedition Mickey Mouse Collection will be park-exclusive.
