I don’t know about you, but I have been loving all of the new merchandise that has been released to celebrate 100 years of Disney. One unique surprise that I stumbled upon recently was this D100 Wallpaper. It’s a great way to keep the party going at home, long after the year is over.
Take a trip through Disney history with the Characters Print. Silhouettes of so many of our Disney friends parade around on this paper. I loved this wallpaper and spent some time trying to see how many characters I could spot. One thing that I think make this pattern a little different is that while some of the characters appear several times, they don’t always appear in the same pose each time. There is also movement in the design. Elsa is string up some snow, while Mickey Mouse can be seen singing a happy tune. The gray background gives off the illusion that you are dreaming up all of these characters, just like Walt himself.
The next print is this Disney 100 Icons Print. The black and white color scheme and the illustrations of the characters on the design make it look like you have traveled back in time and are seeing these movies with Walt. Even the designs of some of the newer Disney movies, such as Toy Story, have a reimagined, retro look. I think that Sherif Woody looks very natural as a classic character. Also, the image of Buzz looks like something from the start of space exploration.
The final Disney 100 wallpaper is princess themed. Here we see silhouettes of the princesses gracefully gliding around on soft pink wallpaper. They all appear to me dancing across the print. In between the princesses, we see the D100 logo.
