I have shared a number of new collection being released that are inspired by the new live action Cinderella film including those from Hot Topic, MAC and Torrid. The newest collection of clothing inspired by the movie is not quite as literal as the ones from Hot Topic and Torrid but is much more artistic and perhaps wearable. It is called the Modern Day Princess Collection and is going to be available on HSN March 2. It is created by the one and only super model Coco Rocha! This is her debut into the world of fashion design and I think she did a fabulous job! There will be other designers, including Anna Winter and Christos Garkinos, also creating Cinderella inspired fashion on HSN . With that being said, let’s take a peak at the Modern Day Princess Collection!
This butterfly top and peplum skirt is truly inspired, by Coco Rocha. The butterflies that are seen through out the live action film merchandise are the star here and, worn together, will be perfect for spring.
Much of the fashion is more inspired by the sets of the film and I feel like these pants are an example of that. The color palette is on point and the scroll design is akin to much of what the set design entails. Many people wouldn’t even realize these are from Cinderella. They look like a fun pair of patterned pants!
I think this dress is simple and darling. The butterflies tie in the movie and the silhouette reminds me a bit of Cinderella’s peasant dress. It would be lovely in spring and most people, except those other Disney lovers, would never expect this is a Disney inspired dress! This one is brought to us by designer Hal Rubenstein.
Hal Rubenstein also brings us this jacket. The diamond metallic pieces on the waist line tie in more of the Cinderella theme here and, as I said earlier, this is much more artistic than literal. I actually see some women wearing this jacket with the butterfly dress. Stay with me here, but can you see the contradiction of hard and soft with that look? I think it would work well for the right woman.
This skirt is by Christos Garkinos. It is a perfect color to represent Cinderella but not he obvious blue. The lines are flowy and whimsical which is perfect for the Princess.
This purse, by Snob Essential, is reminiscent of the stain glass windows and the gardens that Cinderella is known to hang out in. It is another artistic piece and a fun, not obvious handbag.
There are many more pieces to the collection that, if you are interested, you can check out on HSN starting March 2nd. This Cinderella inspired fashion is obviously quite wearable and inspired and I think that caters to the every day woman. It’s nice to have some Disney inspired pieces that don’t necessarily make it look like you are Disney Bounding.
Do you like the new collection? Is it something you can see yourself wearing?? Let us know in the comment box below!
