We are 14 months away from unveiling the newest DCL cruise ship, the Treasure. If there’s one thing Disney is known for, it’s entertainment. The cruise ships are no exception with nightly amusements including Broadway-style shows. DCL Announces New Show Aboard the Treasure, You’re Welcome!
The newest presentation is an adaptation of our favorite Polynesian princess titled, The Tale of Moana. According to Disney Parks Blog, “The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti”
This interpretation joins the family of Broadway shows on other DCL ships including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Frozen, and MORE!
We are so excited to see what the folks at Disney do with this amazing action adventurer. What I love about Moana is that she’s an authentic role model with which girls can easily identify. Her struggle between following her heart’s desire versus following tradition and other expectations is a common struggle for many.
Along with Moana, comes Gramma Tala, Maui, and Tamatoa. I personally hope Pua and Hei Hei make appearances as well! Especially, let’s not forget the boisterous Demigod Maui.
