Second up in the Fantasyland Disney Bounding series is the Round and Round King Arthur’s Carousel look.
True to the King Arthur namesake, this look is carnival fun and a bit royal regal.
When developing this Disney Bounding look, I hoped to draw palette inspiration from the carousel horses (and zebras) – pastels vs. rich colors.
As for accessories, pink leg wrap leg warmers add a touch of pizazz to look carnival/circus ready; some might cry wolf they appear too “costumey” but I, myself, think they add an accessory element that is no doubt anchored in carnival and circus. Melissa Space Love flats in navy with pink bows add dimension to this otherwise pastel and pink look.
The bow, too, adds an air of girly fun. Kate Spade’s “Carnival Nights” line was a huge go-to inspiration in creating this look. Kate Spade’s “Carnival Nights” stud earrings are just as much as a party up front with unicorn as they are in the back with the body of the unicorn making up the post of the earring. The Kate Spade carousel bag is itself a statement piece. A tiara bangle bracelet lends itself to the royal affair you’ve departed on, going round and round King Arthur’s Carousel.
