It’s been a hot second since we’ve Disney Bounded. Time gets away on you like that. But now that we’re back on the Disney Bounding grind, we’re taking you up, up, and away. So hop on the hot air balloon, we are going on a Tour de It’s a Small World!
Today’s Disney Bounding look is inspired by the ride, It’s A Small World.
It’s A Small World is, by far, my favorite Disney attraction. To me, it IS the quintessential Disney park experience. I love the lavish colors, the repetitious song that surprisingly doesn’t veer on the Song-That-Never-Ends, and the dolls which are each so detailed and which remind me so much of my dear mom who collected dolls and thus loved It’s A Small World.
The Tour de It’s a Small World is all about evoking the jet setter in you while low key playing up different cultures or countries and delving into the rich palette afforded by the ride.
To honor the Disneyland palette of blues, creams, and gilded accents, I opted first for a white blouse that has beautiful detailed embroidery that is semi-evocative of Moravian culture. Next, a gold pleated tea length skirt adds the sophistication of a worldly self. To crown the blue, these Ivanka Trump ballet flats add color while the laces add wrapped up sophistication.
For accessories, there were continents of options to choose from! I decided to keep it pretty generic, in not choosing a single country of origin and gravitated toward a darling gold world map pendant necklace. In continuing with the general theme of worldly, cultured traveller, the Kate Spade hot air balloon wristlet is THE go-to item of this look to take you off to Disney Bounding greatness.
