We had a request from an avid Disney Fashionista Disney Bounding fan to curate looks for her to rock during an upcoming parks outing. The “challenge”? She is a nursing mom!
Function should never compromise style and this is no different for maternity. For nursing moms, you just have to think out of the box with flowy light summer scarves or buttons and straps that allow for your prized possessions to be easily accessed and covered up like the V.I.P cargo they are.
We compiled THREE looks that might appease any nursing mom while giving her room to also Disney bound her little one as the unisex character counterpart AND stay cool at the hot parks.
With this Lulu’s light brown shirtdress, you can step out to the parks in style and comfort. The shirtdress style allows for easy access to the goods – and for cover-up too. The button mimics Kanga’s pouch to tuck away your little one.
I’m not gonna lie, this Sully Disney Bounding was a challenge. It wasn’t a challenge in the sense of catering to nursing moms so much as it was actually finding clothing pieces designed of my imagination. Keyword searches of “geometric shape top” or “mint and lavender pattern top” did not elicit desirable options. Ever hit that dead end of having seen a type of clothing item everywhere but not finding it when you need it and/or not even being able to fathom the possible search words to find it?
For Sully, I did narrow it down to a H&M patterned mint blouse and Talbots lavender skinny jeans, paired with a summery geometric silk scarf to allow cover-up.
