Most people are either cat people or dog people. There are some who like both, but typically people feel strongly for one species over the other. As a dog lover/”cat disliker”, my daughter expressed surprise when my husband even sat down to watch Aristocats! On the heels of the Disney Dogs rerelease, The Disney Store in connection with Dooney and Bourke tease feline fans. Yes, cat lovers the Disney Cats Make a Comeback!
Let’s preface this with the wishes and hopes that the Disney Cats release goes much smoother than the Dogs! When questioned on social media regarding the release date, Disney Store simply responded, “The cat has our tongue on that one!” With the release of the Tiana Dooney now online as of July 1st and the upcoming Haunted Mansion Dooney July 8th, we hope for a purr-fect release date soon!
The design was originally released in 2019 with a tote bag, two satchels, and a crossbody. We know this release will consist of the above tote bag and ears. Someone let the cat out of the bag when the Cat ears were errantly sent out during the Dog release). Disney Store has us scratching around for when to expect the collection.
The pattern consists of a scatter design including the following felines: Duchess, Thomas O’Malley, Toulouse, Berlioz, Marie, Scat Cat, Simba, Si and Am, Rajah, Figaro, Lucifer, Cheshire Cat, Bagheera, Sergeant Tibbs, Mochi, Olivier, Rufus and Mittens.
