Disney announced a new collection of books, animated shorts, and digital extensions called Frozen Northern Lights. This is a new original story from the Kingdom of Arendelle. Frozen fans can follow Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and everyone’s favorite reindeer, Sven, on a whole new adventure. Fans will also be introduced to a brand new character named Little Rock. I’m wondering if this character could have anything to do with Kristoff’s family, the rock trolls.
Frozen Northern Lights will combine the natural wonder of the Northern Lights with Disney storytelling.
“We’re excited to share this new adventure and offer fans great new ways to connect with their favorite characters thanks to a host of related books, digital games and activities,” said Andrew Sugerman, Executive Vice President of Disney Publishing Worldwide.
The new line will be introduced as a deluxe novelization in July titled Disney Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights.
The story line will be re-imagined by the LEGO Group to include four new animated shorts that will appear as a compilation airing on the Disney Channel this fall. I’m looking forward to seeing LEGO’s unique animation and humor mix with the world of Arendelle. Even better, the voice talent from the Frozen film will be reprising their roles!
To celebrate this new launch, the website http://frozen.disney.com will be updated with activities tied to the new story and Disney will launch a new Frozen-inspired Instagram account @DisneyFrozen.
