Ahh, the 2000’s. A time of boom for people and movies alike. Animators did not rest on their laurels after achieving success in the 90s with Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, and Aladdin. They came right back and hit us with The Princess and the Frog, The Emperor’s New Groove and cross-over film Enchanted which was live-action with animated parts. In the next decade to be released, Disney Decades Introduces the 2000s.

Louis, the trumpet playing alligator who dreams of being a jazz musician, takes center stage on the Loungefly for 2000’s Decade. The timid alligator appeared in The Princess and the Frog which released in 2009. Find him playing a sweet soulful tune at night for Ray and his friends. The bayou fireflies shine in appreciation with glow in the dark accents across the front of the mini backpack. On the back you’ll find a screen-printed picture of Ray and other insects playing backup. The traditional Louisiana filigree featuring character silhouettes make the blue hued interior lining.
It is about time Giselle got a little more love! The heroine of the 2007 film Enchanted is honored with these stunning ears representing the 2000s. The left ear features Pip, the chipmunk and close companion to Giselle, atop lovely fabric. Could that be Robert’s drapery? It’s likely! Full of embroidered flowers and tinged with lace, these ears are just as sweet as the princess herself!
The 2000s collection also includes a MagicBand+ from Bolt, a pin collection from Pixar movies, and a fabulous plush doll of Yzma. Whereas the pins and plush are available now, obtain the Limited-Edition Bolt MagicBand+ by preordering. The Pixar set comes with all four characters notable for their roles in their respective films. Lastly, get your groove with Yzma as a Cat plush from The Emperor’s New Groove. The plush is purrrr-fect for the Yzma lover in your life.
