The new 2024 Thomas Kinkade Calendar is out and I couldn’t be more excited. The calendar has been a yearly tradition for me since a friend got me my first one several years ago. I already have mine! It’s still in its packaging, just waiting for the New Year to begin.
One of the things that I look forward to every year is getting my new calendar, which you can find here. The first day back after break and all of the holiday excitement is always a little hard, so having a new calendar to open and hang up is always a little exciting. It’s like Christmas all over because I never know what artwork January will bring. Although you can peek and see what artwork is for each month, for me there is something special about waiting to flip the calendar to a new page each month to discover the star of the new month. It’s something that I do with my kiddos each month and we now all look forward to the big reveal.
If the front cover of this calendar is any prediction of what this year will bring, we are in for a wonderful year. The detail on all of the artwork is extraordinary. Each painting is almost like a Disney Where’s Waldo. I find something new every time I look. The designers have also done a wonderful job of including both newer characters, such as Moana, and classic favorites, like Mickey and Minnie and Alice in Wonderland. I’ve had the calendar for many years and still am surprised with what I discover at the start of each month. Even if it is a character who has appeared in previous calendars, you will see them in a different scene. For example, Winter Belle and Ariel on her wedding day, instead of them in their classic look.
It’s not always the heroes that star either. For example, this year, Maleficent has her time to shine. Even the Disney animals have their time to shine. This year we see the Aristocats and Lady and the Tramp, just to name a few favorites.
