Last tear, before the holidays, I shared a Disney Parks Map Book with you that went over like gangbusters. It made me realize that Disney fashionistas are not just wanting fashion (whether it be for themselves or their homes) but they love ALL things Disney. I thought it was just me! I went on a scavenger hunt to find something similar to make my fellow Disney addicts happy. Today’s Disney discovery is an Art of Disney Card Book.
What I love about this is that it’s like nothing I have seen before. I have a lot of books about Disney and Disney art but something like this eludes my current collection. This box of postcards collects a treasure trove of concept art—many pieces never before published— and final frames from Disney’s golden age of animation, spanning from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 to One Hundred and One Dalmatians in 1961. Just look at the examples on the back of the book. I am in love with the picture of Pongo and Perdita! I also like the fact it gives me examples of which films it covers, in case my Disney movie history is not quite up to par on dates.
You would think something like this would be rather pricey but I am pleased to report it is not. This collection of 100 collectible postcards is only $17.96. I have paid more than that on a Starbucks order! If you are interested in checking the Art of Disney Card Book out a little closer, you can find it HERE. Stay fabulous, fashionistas!
