Just this weekend I was sitting in an airport with a friend, questioning travelers wearing flip-flops, moments after groucho TSAs questioned my 8 oz. bottles of shampoo and conditioner which were so clearly not even halfway full.
There is no doubt that flip-flops make for quick removal to walk through the dreaded security gates. It’s more likely you’ll get a Staph infection from walking barefoot on airport floors than someone carrying something on them. But slip-ons make for quick removal, too.
This then spawned a conversation about men and sandals. I genuinely believe ALL men should delight in pedicures. There need be nothing feminine about it. Everyone, male or female, is privy to well-groomed cuticles and a little pampering every now and again. Whether he decides to go with magenta polish or go au natural, that is up to him…
Also, too, some men have hairier feet than others. And some sandal styles are not suitable for all, as all feet are not created equal. Now that I’ve vented yet again about male flip-flop theory…
No matter where you stand in the argument, flip-flops are for warmer temps.
