Disney Discovery: Mother’s Day Jim Shore Figures

In my book, every day should be Mother’s Day! I know that I don’t celebrate my mother as often as I should, so Mother’s Day gives me the opportunity to make sure that I show my mom how much I care. And what better way to do that than by giving her one of these Mother’s Day Jim Shore Figures? It’s so hard for me to decide which one of these Disney Discovery items that I want to get her! She might just end up getting them all.

The first statue is something that we all can relate to! Kanga gazes lovingly at Roo as he gives her freshly picked flowers. Even though he might not have any money, this small token of love shows Roo’s mom just how much she means to him. I also love the floral pattern on Kanga! It matches the flowers on the ground and in Roo’s hands.

Next up is another classic Disney mother and son. Mrs. Potts and Chip look like they are singing with each other as they look into each other’s eyes. I think that Mrs. Potts always has a little bit of wisdom to share with Chip and anyone else who will listen. I wish that I could hear what they are talking about.

The final statue has what I consider the most classic Disney mother and son duo: Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo. Mrs. Jumbo plays with her son just like a human mother would play with their child! Her eyes are so real and life-like. Not a detail is missed on this wonderful work of art. From Mrs. Jumbo’s finger and toe nails to Baby Dumbo’s little tail. I love every inch of it and I am sure that any mother would too.
