Have you ever wondered what the engagement rings for the Disney Princesses would look like? Well so did the U.K. jewelry company F. Hinds, and they decided to create Disney Engagement Rings inspired by the princesses, and even estimated how much our favorite Disney Princes would spend on the perfect engagement ring for their princess brides to be.
Snow White is he original Disney Princess, so the Prince picking something classic and timeless is a must.
Snow White’s prince picked a 2 carat heart cut red ruby, a color that reminded him of her red rose lip color and the famous poison apple, and set it with seven small diamonds to symbolize her closest friends, the Seven Dwarfs. To complement Snow White’s classic feminine style, the Prince even picked a ring shank with a beautiful beaded pattern to truly sweep her off her feet.
Cinderella is next on the list, and has inspired countless weddings and engagements, so I would love to see Prince Charming choose something romantic and classic.
Prince Charming picked a large sky-blue topaz as a perfect reminder of her favorite ball gown: the one she wore on the night they first met, and as a bonus it could double up as her ‘something blue’ on the big day. Paired with a couple of diamonds to add some extra sparkle, as well as a beautiful setting for the stones to sit in, all that was left was for the Prince to find her glass slipper!
As we move on to Ariel, I’m a bit sad that I don’t see one of my favorite classic princess Aurora, I do hope they make one for her soon!
A ring for Ariel needs to have details that mix her sea life and new life together.
Although Ariel ended up on dry land, the Little Mermaid never forgot her home. That’s why Prince Eric thoughtfully picked an engagement ring featuring a stunning 15 mm pearl with a white gold wrap around setting. So every time she sees her ring Ariel is reminded of her fond memories under the sea with Flounder, Sebastian and her father King Triton.
Belle of course needs a golden color to her ring for the infamous dress in the ballroom scene. I personally feel there should be a rose detail to her ring, however F. Hinds did not add one to their creation.
Beast opted for a 4 carat cushion cut yellow diamond (costing around £50,000) with a classic halo of flawless diamonds surrounding it, all set in platinum. This complements her beautiful and iconic canary yellow ball gown when they shared their first dance.
For Jasmine, the jewelry company weaved a little bit of an engagement tale to come up with the design for her ring.
The Genie kindly offered to find some exotic gems in his cave of wonders to help Aladdin in his search for the perfect engagement ring for Princess Jasmine. Aladdin chose a large tanzanite gemstone with an intricate, diamond encrusted setting; this heavily decorated engagement ring certainly had both Jasmine and the Sultan’s royal seal of approval.
Tiana obviously needs a ring with a green stone, I think she would love a ring with a very organic feel, and sculpted petals.
Prince Naveen only wanted the best for the Modest and hard-working Tiana. He put careful thought into picking an extravagant green emerald worth around £25,000 and chose to pair this with extra diamonds in a platinum mount, before getting down on one knee at their favorite spot at Tiana’s Palace restaurant.
I’m not sure if I could see Merida accepting an engagement ring, but if she were to, I would hope that it would have traditional Scottish elements to it.
Merida’s reputation for a strong sense of adventure and bravery meant that her suitors, competing for her hand in marriage, presented her with engagement rings that symbolized her strong personality. Her favorite engagement ring boasted a fire opal with hand crafted Celtic designs. However, even this beautiful ring was not enough to tempt Merida away from her life of independence.
Rapunzel needs a ring of brilliant gold like her hair, and the shining lanterns she loved so much, and of course purple!
Flynn Rider was a former thief, however his promise to change his ways meant that he saved up for an amethyst engagement ring; an unconventional choice for a Princess but perfect for Rapunzel, who was never one to follow the rules.
While we all know Elsa is a Queen not a Princess, she was included in their list.
The epitome of a strong and independent woman, Elsa never needed a Prince in her life so we designed the ideal ring for her future suitor. Of course, Elsa’s favorite season is winter and it just so happens that she loves December’s birthstone, the aquamarine. Therefore Elsa’s ideal engagement ring is an aquamarine and diamond cluster arranged in a snowflake pattern, with a platinum setting. Elsa certainly wouldn’t let this beautiful ring go!
I always find it fun and fascinating to see what others dream up and imagine for Disney Princess inspired jewelry, and weddings. It’s always fun to make believe after all!
What do you think of these Disney Engagement rings? Do you think they hit the mark, or are there things you would change about them?
