Lots of wonderful memories w/ my Mom! But 1 of the best memories was traveling to Disney together & sharing my daughters 1st time experience! Definitely lots of magical moments…especially meeting Mickey!
Brandi Adam Massey says
A wonderful memory of my mom was her taking me to my very first movie at the movie theater to see Snow White. It began a love of Disney that has continued throughout the year!
Monique Nicole Roman says
A memory of my mom… our first trip to Disneyland and her waiting in all the lines so that I could ride everything! Its a small world, pirates of the Caribbean, and the haunted mansion stick out.
Laurie Morris says
I loved how my Mom would turn every movie into an event. She especially loved Disney movies and would make us feel like it was gong to be the most special afternoon each time we saw one.
Dawn Hopkins Panagos says
A great memory with my mom is the numerous times we’ve gone to WDW together. We share a love of Disney so this is the perfect vacation for us to share as many times as we can!
Susan Farmer Stroud says
There are so many awesome memories, how do I choose just one? But this is the one instantly comes to mind. My first trip to Disney World when I was 8, I was terrified of going on any ride I could not see what the ride did. I refused to go on Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion. So she patiently sat with me while my brother & father rode. When we got to ‘Its a Small World’…I was doing everything I could think of to not get on that as well. She used my love of dolls to assure me that it was not a scary ride and that I would in fact ‘love’ the ride. She, of course, was right! She is such a great example of being patient and selfless & I have really tried to do that with my kids as they were growing up in every situation.

my favorite memory is being a mom for the first time 3 years ago when I adopted my daughter from China – Going to China with my parents to become a parent – It changes the world around you – Now planning our first Disney vacation for 2018 ( single mom need to save )
Lauren McBride says
Our birthdays are so close so we’ve gone to Disney to celebrate together!! I love that my mom can even do Boo’s voice from Monster’s Inc. 🙂
We share a love of watching the old and new movie some and over. Just the spending the time with my mom makes Disney truly the happiest!!
Tara says
Last year my Mom and Dad joined my family for a day in Magic Kingdom (and a quick trip to Epcot for Soarin). The best part of the day was riding in the front row of it’s a small world with my mom and my daughter. Both of their faces were smiling and singing and they loved it. I was instantly a little girl again on the many years of family Disney trips sitting beside Mom. It felt so good to be able to take them to Disney .
Stephanie Ciola says
I love going on its a small world with my mom. It’s her favorite ride and every time she visits me she wants to ride it! Now that I have a daughter, I am passing on the tradition on to her. Since my mom and I can only see each other once a year — it makes it a magical memory for us. Happy Mother’s Day!
Christine Watson Huff says
Love spending time with my Mom. I’m lucky enough to live close and I spend at least a day (if not more) with her. Shopping, going out to lunch, all the little things. Can’t wait to make Mother’s Day special for her. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
nomoresnow says
Im lucky enough to have my Mom and Dad live with us. They moved in in 2008, so not only have I been able to spend more time with her, but my daughter has been able to grow up since she was 8 years old having her Grandparents around 24/7. This Sunday, on Mother’s Day, with the exception of my daughter who has to work, my entire family is going out for brunch. This will be my sister’s first Mother’s Day as my nephew is only 3 months old. Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
Kolergulfbreeze says
I have so many memories of my Mom, but the one that comes to mind is the last Starbucks moment we shared together before she passed away 5 years ago. She went through chemo and radiation treatments and hadn’t had anything to eat for weeks (except through her feeding port). I just remember her saying how much she loved her frappuccino, like it was the best thing she ever tasted!! We laughed and cried that day. I miss her like crazy 🙁
Stephanie Johnson says
The last trip I took with my mom was to Disney World!! It was one of the best trips. Words cannot express how much I miss her. She would have loved the Jamberry nails!!
Danielle Ellixson Engle says

My mom is one of my best friends and we are able to talk/see each other almost every day. She helps me with my kids and is such a great role model to me of selflessly loving and giving to my family.
Coco Nicole Chauvin says
My mom is truly my best friend, when I was 5 weeks out from having my son my mom took us to a local fair to help boost my spirits, it turned into an annual event until my son got in school. My mom was the only one who say my depression and need for some fun ❤️
Melissa Miller says
My mom is a caregiver…from raising her children, taking care of my grandmother during her final years and helping to raise her grandchildren. She always puts others first so when we went away on an all girls weekend to Salem, MA a few falls ago it was a great time for everyone. I love this memory of our time together!
Bonnie Stevens says
I love being a mom! I know most everyone is posting about their mom’s and I could do that as well since my mom is the wonderful role model that I had encouraging me to be a mom. When I was young I gave birth to an amazing baby boy who unfortunately was way to early and three days after his birth I lost him. Several years later I was blessed with my amazing daughter, loving her only made the desire to have more children. Unfortunately this was not to be the case. My husband and I experienced 7 miscarriages over the next few years. But God had a plan for us and 10 years ago we became foster parents. Two years into the process we received the most beautiful 2 year old little girl who we adopted when she was four. We were then blessed with a little baby boy who came to us addicted to cocaine, we also adopted him. Two years ago we were once again blessed with a one year old little boy who we adopted last year. Mother’s day holds an extra special meaning for me. I love being a mom!

I love being a mom and part of the magic is getting to share Disney with them! I remember when my poor single Mom scrapped together enough money for us to go one day to Magic Kingdom when I was young. We ate Mickey bars (in those days the ears were chocolate) and had chocolate chip cookies. We rode rides and watched the parade. Best memory ever!
BrendaHolder says
I love these and I love Disney May all the Mother’s have a Happy Mother’s day…. Love the site.. I love being a mom not only to my kids but all children .
Susan Silva says
There are many memories of my Mom but what I cherish most now are the times that we get together with my daughter and granddaughters so there are 4 generations together at the same time.
Bev Y says
I love following your post! The solar flowers are great. My stepmom is battling cancer and she loves Disney, those would brighten her day everyday!
Jenny Rogers says
My mom and I always enjoyed going back to school shopping every August. This continued even when I was in college. But I think I enjoyed that time the most when she wanted to do it for me when I began my teaching career. Every year before I began a new year of teaching, she would always plan our shopping trip. She wanted me to have new teaching outfits just like I had new school outfits. She continued this until she was no longer able. I miss spending time with her no matter what we would do.
Claudia says
My Mom had me at 38 years of age after 4 boys. I only weighed 2 lbs 6 ounces as I was a 6 month baby. That was 51 years ago. Although she has dementia now and 88 years old I will always cherish the black and white photo of her in a hospital gown, gloves and mask holding me. Not that lI remember that, She finally had her girl and I survived as medical technology was not what it is now for preemies. I love you Mom now and forever even when you don’t know me. Claudia

Love the giveaways and information you share! I don’t have just one specific favorite memory but many memories through the years of how my mother always supports all three of us siblings. She is our rock and has always been there for us.
Allyson says
So many great mom stories but I have to go with a Disney one. When I was 8, we went to Disney World for spring break. My dad and my older sister would ride everything – me and my mom, not so much. I think we must have ridden the PeopleMover 10 times while my dad and sister waited in line and rode Space Mountain. I loved it. In the middle of a busy theme park, sitting with my mom, having her all to myself, I’ll never forget that.
cindiwarn says
While growing up our family went on ‘trips’ together. My Mom (and Dad) watched their pennies, but the ‘trip’ that I remember the most was our first TRIP to Disneyland in 1962. We drove during Christmas Vacation, because it was the most reasonable time to go. My mom made me and my two sisters matching dresses and we had the greatest experience of going on Christmas Day!!! While a lot of the rides were down due to maintenance, My Mom made it the best day ever for us. We didn’t miss out on anything that we could, because she was our leader and cheerleader. Love that lady!
Melissa Geib-Lightner says
On a Disney trip with my mom when I was 12, I found a hat I liked better the day after I had already bought a hat. My mom graciously took the hat I didn’t like so much. She’s always sacrificed for us like that – even if I was being a brat and didn’t deserve it. Unconditional love. That’s what moms do.
Lindsay East says
I spent a day in December with my mom at Magic Kingdom. We had the most fun just spending time together in the happiest place on earth!
Thanks for the giveaways. They’re always fun!

I took my mom to WDW for the first time this past January. I’m so glad I got to share that trip with her.
Cathleen King says
My memory of my mom and me was when we went to Disney World in July 1991.
Michelle Goldstein says
Since my mom and I are so close it’s hard to pick one. My mom and I took a girls only adult trip to Disney World for my birthday and we had so much fun celebrating. She bought me a bday shirt which mentioned Beast and we laughed our heads off running around trying to find him! Just a simple activity makes it a great time.
Amy Grosky Bergman says
Three years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My mom, a retired oncology social worker, dropped everything to make the three and a half hour trip, any time I needed her to be with me. She was there every step of the way, with humor, hugs and sometimes just company. We laughed, cried, yelled at the world, and kept moving forward. She cleaned, drove my son to school, and helped with meals for the family.
On the day my hair fell out from chemo, I was devastated. I decided to have a,”my hair is falling out and I’m shaving my head party”. She changed her plans to stay an extra day, to help me put the last minute gathering together. The party was a success, and it is one of my happiest memories, hair or not.
She never reminded me that it was the same day as her birthday. I didn’t remember until a year later. She was selfless in her love and support. I am the luckiest daughter, to have a mom like her. Here’s to you mom, my best and most loved friend!
Danielle Murgia says
My favorite memories go on and on. One of my favorites, that we still do today, is bake holiday cookies together. We bake about 20 different kinds. We even have little mother/daughter baking ornaments. My mom was the one who started my love of Disney and feeds my addiction.
Megan Kalick says
One of my best memories was getting to spend a week with my mom is disney world when I was in high school. It was my first trip and I was performing with my hand bell choir and she got to be a chaperone. We haven’t been there together since but we will again in novemeber!
