Is it sad that I am so excited about a Couture Collection, created by Disney, that isn’t going to make it’s appearance until Spring of 2016? Probably. I don’t care. When I was at the D23 Expo, I was given a sneak peak at a new Couture Collection headed our way called the Kingdom Couture Collection. It just sounds regal! Let me share with you what I learned.
The Kingdom Couture Collection will be a new, higher end collection of apparel and accessories for that discerning Disney loving fashionista (doesn’t that sound an awful lot like me??). The Boutique Collection, that Disney currently has, is quite lovely and has a lot of items I enjoy. The Kingdom Couture Collection is supposed to be a step above that. It is made for women, not that younger Disney fans can’t and won’t enjoy it, but it is intended for that intense fashionista. The one deep inside every single one of you reading this article, I am betting.
There will be handbags… of all styles and shapes. Take a close look at the patterns in the sneak peak photos. These are classy images. They aren’t juevenile in the slightest. I think my fave of the three above is the center, castle print. It is quite lovely.
Perhaps, from the picture above, you can tell why it is not going to make it’s appearance till next year. It is till in the design phase, clearly. What I took from these images is that there are going to be more than just your basic old tee shirt and sweatshirt, when it comes to apparel. They are really trying to make this a Couture Collection.
I love the title, Kingdom Couture. I really feel like they are trying to show this is fit for a queen…. or queen of the fashionistas! I have no idea what the price point will be on this Couture Collection but I don’t imagine it will come without a bit of a higher price tag. I can’t wait to learn more about this collection as more info becomes available! I promise to share it with you the second I hear something!
