This latest collaboration continues to celebrate Karl Lagerfeld’s special connection with his favorite Disney character, Donald Duck! This love is brought to life through a unique sketch he hand-drew in the early 2000s. Depicting Donald in Karl’s unmistakable style—oversized dark sunglasses, jeans, a black blazer, a high-collar white shirt, and a white ponytail—the illustration reflects Karl’s signature humor and wit while serving as a personal tribute.
I think it’s so cool that Karl himself did the artwork for this collection. It makes it extra magical and just adds that personal touch that we do not always see (or at least, know about) from some of these collaborations.
The accessories lineup features backpacks, tote bags, handbags, and sneakers, alongside lifestyle pieces such as umbrellas, scarves, and sunglasses. I am loving the variety of silhouettes for the bags in this collection. There is a style for every need and every fashionista! Plus, the classic black is iconic and will never go out of style.
Some of these ready-to-wear highlights include relaxed denim, black-and-white sweaters, a neutral-toned bomber, and a casual blazer, blending playful nostalgia with contemporary style.
Another thing I’m enjoying about this collection is that the pieces are actually ready-to-wear. Sometimes I feel like designers call things “ready to wear” and I think “to where?!” But this collection is actually super casual and perfect for incorporating into your everyday life.
