Disney Parks Blog has released the official guide to Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Extravaganza which will be celebrated from May 16, 2025, and running through summer 2026! Must-Have Merch
Preview photos have been released of all new 70th celebration collections Disneyland has to offer. Get ready to sparkle with Mickey and Minnie with merch matching their new costumes along with new headwear like this this gold sequin cap. Stay tuned for a neon and black collection featuring ears, Spirit Jersey, Magic Band+ and Loungefly. That Lug is absolutely stunning! Disney promises everything from clothing, plush, toys, and home décor to help fans celebrate the 70-year celebration. Mickey and Friends’ New 70th Attire
Mickey Mouse and his friends’ new bright, contemporary costumes revealed! Dressed to impress, they are ready to celebrate the momentous occasion. Make sure to get a photo with your favorite pals in Town Square in Disneyland Park wearing these updated designs. These costumes will also be worn in a new parade called “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.” Be on the lookout for Clarabelle cow, Goofy and Max as well as rarely seen friends at Disneyland, Duffy and ShellieMay!

“World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure Park
Join Joy and the other Emotions from Inside Out 1 & 2 as they host all new “World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure Park. Guests are encouraged to sing along and dance to the music and moments from other favorite Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ stories, including “Turning Red,” “The Incredibles,” “A Goofy Movie,” “Tangled,” “Encanto” and more. Listen carefully to the vocals as you might hear the familiar tones of Boys II Men and FITZ from Fitz and the Tantrums. Paradise Bay will transform with a grand production featuring fountains, lighting, fog and dramatic flame effects.

“Paint the Night” Parade at Disneyland Park
This fan favorite event returns for the 70th anniversary. The premise of the parade is Mickey uses his imagination to harness Tinker Bell’s pixie dust to “Paint the Night.” The event utilizes stunning color and more than a million brilliant LED lights on innovative floats, vibrant costumes along with incredible special effects, unforgettable music and energetic performances down Main Street USA. Anna and Elsa make their return to in a beautiful float.

“Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland Park
State-of-the-art projection effects take to Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America to celebrate the legacy of classics that have inspired Walt Disney’s original magic kingdom. Embark on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart as you experience moments from beloved stories.
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade at Disney California Adventure Park
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” returns to the streets of California Adventure. More than two dozen favorite characters from Pixar Animation Studios films perform to heartwarming songs from your favorite films, celebrating friendship and beyond.
“Tapestry of Happiness” at Disneyland Park
“Tapestry of Happiness” utilizes the “it’s a small world” facade as a canvas to display an animated mosaic in the unique stylings inspired by Mary Blair. The new original 70th Anniversary theme song “Celebrate Happy” leads the soundtrack for other music which you’ll recognize from through the years. Tapestry of Happiness is being deemed as a “visual love letter to Disneyland, bringing all of us together through memories of The Happiest Place on Earth.”



Anniversary Décor Throughout Disneyland Resort
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Extravaganza deserves big decor! Feast your eyes on the 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle with colorful glass panels and golden charms representing the five original lands. This will be located in the esplanade between DCA and Disneyland. Multi-colored banners and bunting will decorate Main Street, U.S.A. In the heart of Town Square, you’ll spot an installation featuring Mickey and Minnie, which was created just for the anniversary. There will be plenty of photo ops throughout both parks to celebrate. As with WDW’s 50th Anniversary, Disneyland’s 70th will see an elegant medallion adorning Sleeping Beauty Castle. The 70th decor and music as well as twinkling lights will reach out to both Carthay Circle, Buena Vista Street, Downtown Disney District, and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort.

Miguel and Dante will be joining the singing children in Mexico when “it’s a small world” reopens April 25, 2025. Over at California Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania will get some sparkling new 70th swag!
