This is an unprecedented time in history for Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line to close down during the COVID-19 pandemic. I think it’s safe to say that we all knew it was a matter of time before the Disney shopping venues also closed temporarily.
Disney announced that Disney Springs, Downtown Disney, and all Disney Stores will be closing beginning March 17th until further notice. This news comes at the same time that Disney announced Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will close at 5pm on March 20th.
I know that many of us are saddened by the news of all the Disney closures, despite understanding that this is purely for our safety. I myself had to cancel my trip to Disneyland so I definitely understand. I am also a nurse and am part of our emergency preparedness at my hospital. I see all sides.
