The time has come! The Dress Shop at the Marketplace Co-op, in Disney Springs, is now open! I am lucky enough to have our personal shopper, Diane from Shop Theme Parks, there and she has given us an inside look at the store. I am so excited to go this May!
As you can see, not only is The Dress Shop going to have the most beautiful dresses, inspired by Disney characters and attractions, they are also going to lay out the entire look for you! The Minnie Mouse dress is paired with jewelry, ears, purses and other accessories. This takes the guessing game out of how to create the perfect Disney look at Disney.
One of the things I love within the store is the look boxes. The storyboard of how the looks were created is so wonderful to a fashionista like myself. I love going to fashion museums and looking at the history of design etc. This is really an inside look of the creations. This Tiki room dress is so tropical and fun!
With the serious addiction to The Haunted Mansion that many fashionistas have, this dress (and that purse) will be a huge success, I have no doubts. I like the accessories paired with this Haunted Mansion dress but that purse, for $65, is freaking amazing!
Of course, these are the 3 dresses we knew were coming and they look just as stunning in person. I like the fact that the Snow White dress has apple accessories paired with it. Darling!
As someone who had a whimsical Mad Hatter wedding, I am completely enthralled by this Alice In Wonderland look. That rabbit purse is exceptional but can we talk about the teacup accessory?! Do you remember what I wore for my wedding? I am pretending my teacup fascinator was the inspiration for this hair accessory!
Pirates of the Caribbean inspired a look, as well. I’m sorry but this would be the most glamorous way to dress up for Pirate Night on a Disney Cruise! Don’t you agree??
For the Small World dress design, accessories include wrist corsages and floral necklaces. This would be super fun this Spring!!
Something to note is that the sizes range from XS-3X! Not every style goes up to a 3X but many do. I love that they have taken fashionistas of all sizes into account. We all deserve to wear Disney fashions!
Okay, now on to the special event that is taking place for The Dress Shop this weekend. You can meet the founder of Dapper Day, Justin J! We shared a bunch of possible Dapper Day dresses with you yesterday but these would also be pretty amazing! You can also meet representatives from Pinup Girl Clothing. We have shared their designs in the past and I would just love to meet a rep from that team! What an incredible opportunity. We will have Lindsay, one of the Disney Fashionista writers, there with buttons and video footage from the event.
Apparently all the dresses have a bit of stretch to them, which is every fashionista’s dream. I need a bit of give. They are made of cotton and spandex! They should be a little forgiving with that blend.
None of these dresses are available online or on the Shop Disney Parks App at this time. They may appear there in the future but that date has not yet been revealed. If you are dying to have one of these looks sooner rather than later (or before they sell out), you can always check with our personal shopper, Shop Theme Parks, and grab it early! If there is something you see here that isn’t on her page, ask her! She makes fashionistas dreams come true, if she can. Make sure to tell her Disney Fashionista sent you!
Phew, that was a lot of info (amazing info)! What do you think, fashionistas? Are you as excited as I am? Which design is your favorite? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below!

I love that one, too. If you are wanting to get it without going to the Parks, our personal shopper can get it for you. Just click the link to Diane and let her know I sent you.

This company bombed horribly on their stock. They claim to have 10 weeks worth of stock on Disney dresses and they sold most of them out within four hours. Sadly as I shop here for the first time in May there is not a lot left on the shelves. The dress shop is extremely sparse. Hotel tower terror, the blue bell dress, haunted mansion and the Micky dress is all that is left of Disney related dresses. There is a small handful of non-Disney related styles. Accessories are limited also. I really hope this is a learning experience with this company and they will do better on their next batch which won’t be for a while yet.

Yes we’ve been told it is restocking in June and they did restock many for the pop up shop for Dapper Days 2 weeks ago.
