A girls night out is easy to plan at a moment’s notice if you have the opportunity to spend an evening at Disney Springs Town Center. The newly imagined area officially opened on May 15th . Activities such as window-shopping, eateries, complimentary mini facials and assistance with make-up color choices abound. You may also enjoy the tranquility of sitting in a rocking chair, on the porch of the guest services building, by the Disney Springs to hear the gurgling of the water and to watch the floating lanterns as they provide their serene ambiance to the water as night falls.
I recently visited Disney Springs Town Center and thoroughly enjoyed a Girls Night Out. With so many choices, you can find lots of free and low-cost experiences to spend an entire evening here. I should forewarn you that you may want to bring some cash for a bite to eat but leave the credit cards at home!
Disney Springs Town Center has lots of shops for window shopping. I looked at shoes and clothes in Zara, I modeled purses and backpacks in front of a full-length mirror in Vera Bradley, and I looked at the Minnie Mouse collection in Kate Spade. The entire area of Town Center is basically an outdoor mall consisting of many of the same shops most of us are familiar with in our local malls. Many of the shops and restaurants have not opened yet, but once they do, Disney Springs will have doubled the number of restaurants, shops and other venues that existed prior to this expansion.
There are food kiosks and quick serve restaurants to enjoy a quick bite. The Daily Poutine is a food kiosk that serves amazing French fries topped with a variety of gravies and cheeses. D- Luxe Burgers is a quick serve restaurant specializing in unique hamburgers, fries and shakes. Sprinkles Cupcakes Store and Cupcake ATM offers cupcakes, ice cream, and doggie cupcake treats. Whether you are looking for a snack, or a full meal, Disney Springs Town Center is sure to please.
I highly recommend a visit to L’Occitane en Provence for complimentary hand scrubs and mini facials followed by a visit to Sephora for a talk with a Sephora representative who will recommend make-up color choices appropriate for your skin tone and skin type. L’Occitane has fun hand-washing sinks with hand soaps, scrubs, and lotions to sample. Once you move from the sinks area you can step over to a separate area for a mini facial. A trained L’Occitane skin care representative will discuss your current skin care regimen, your skin type, and any concerns you have about your skin. Based on this information, she will then select a face wash, toner, eye cream, and face lotion for your mini facial. Upon completion of your mini facial head on over to Sephora and speak with a trained color specialist to help you select make-up best suited for you based on your desired look.
One of the most interesting features of Disney Springs Town Center is the springs that run between Town Center and the other three areas of Disney Springs. A series of three bridges cross over the springs and connect Town Center to West Side, The Landing, and Marketplace. As you wrap up your Girls Night Out at Disney Springs Town Center head over to the rocking chairs, at the Guest Services building, situated to give you views of the springs and Town Center. You will notice the gurgling sound of the springs if you sit along the side of the building. Or try sitting on the porch towards the back of the building, where you will discover the floating lanterns situated along the springs. As night falls at Town Center, so will a sense of serenity and tranquility fall upon you as the beauty of the lanterns, now giving off a soft light, add a glow to the blue-green water of the Disney Springs.
