If you are attending the Festival of the Arts, you are one lucky fashionista. I am thinking I won’t be able to make it down this year so I am enjoying the experiences vicariously through my local writers… it’s not the same! I know you feel the same way much of the time while reading things here. I feel for you! I thought I would share some of the fabulous experiences you can have while at the Festival (maybe you will decide to book a last minute trip!).
The Artful experiences can be found through out Epcot and involve a multitude of things including painting with a Disney artist, different workshops and many different pop up shops featuring different items that require artful craftiness to create.
One of the booths I want to check out is the Rinse Bath & Body Co booth. These are handcrafted bath products and what fashionista doesn’t like to take a closer look at that kind of thing? It takes much skill to be able create items like this. I know I couldn’t do it. There’s nothing like good bath/ shower products. My birthday is coming up… just sayin.
Hand crafted jewelry can also be found at the Festival of the Arts. I am crafty in the scrapbooking sense but I have never tried to make jewelry. I would love to ask these artists questions about their process! These are also all for sale.
Jerrod Maruyama is one of my favorite artists that Disney showcases (admittedly I have a few… Ashley Taylor!) and I have had the pleasure of meeting him in person. His artwork is being featured during the Festival and he will be at Epcot doing signings the weekend of February 9th!
At the Artistic Marbling booth, you can create your own scarf! That would be amazingly cool. Now, of course, this experience is not free but you do get to walk away with a scarf that you helped create!
I love the idea of this. Valentine’s Day is coming up and you could have your special someone create a scarf just for you! How cool would that be?
There are lots of other ways to enjoy an artful experience at the Festival of the Arts. These are just some of my favorites. Are you heading to the Festival? What are you excited to see? Let us know in the comment box below!
