Disneyland Park opened its doors in 1955 and changed the world of amusement parks, and changed many of our lives. Next year promises to be an exciting celebration of 70 years at the Happiest Place on Earth. Keep reading to learn more about the events going on at Disneyland Park in 2025.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Event
Get ready for beautiful, elegant decor to shower Disneyland Resort to celebrate 70 years. Beginning May 16, 2025, and continuing through summer 2026, the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will pay tribute to decades of happiness and joyful memories in the making. They will offer limited-time entertainment, specialty food and beverages, collectible merchandise, and more.
Brilliant, colorful décor will adorn the entire resort, including an elegant medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle. New wardrobes are being designed for Mickey, Minnie, and some of their pals in celebration of the occasion.
Lunar New Year Festival will take place at Disney California Adventure Park from January 17-February 16th. Offerings inspired by Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions will ring in the Year of the Snake. Mickey and Minnie will reveal all-new traditional Korean attire. New offerings include the “Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration” water short, “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”, as well as live musical performances and Asian-inspired menu items at select dining locations.
February 8th and 15th will be an uplifting experience as Disney hosts “Celebrate Gospel.” A resort tradition for more than a decade, the annual concert will return with performances by community choirs from across Southern California as well as award-winning artists.
Foodies get ready to celebrate the culinary diversity of the Food and Wine Festival. This event celebrates the Golden State with creative menu items, ten marketplaces, live entertainment and the return of fan-favorites such as Chef Goofy a bookable culinary experience.
From March 28-May 11 watch as “Fire of the Rising Moons” performs nightly at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with epic, new projection effects and galactic music. Some nights will even include fireworks. Hyperspace Mountain returns to Tomorrowland, allowing you to experience hurtling through the galaxy and encounter TIE fighters along the way!
Holiday Events
When the kids head back to school, the haunts come out at Disneyland. August 22-October 31st is Halloween time at the parks. Enjoy eerily themed attractions, not-so-scary entertainment, and fall-themed food and beverages. Trick or Treat with the villains you love to hate at the Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween Party. Dress up in costume for an after-hours party at California Adventure with family-friendly tricks and treats. In 2025, the party will offer more nights than ever before with 31 different dates! Celebrate family with the award-winning characters from Coco and celebrate Dia de los Muertos from August 22-November 2.
The holidays are truly a magical time at the Disneyland resorts. From November 14th to January 7th, 2026 enjoy the enchanting season. Bright lights bring sparkling wintry décor, festive entertainment and more throughout the whole resort. Discover Disney Festival of Holidays at California Adventure. This event features specialty menu items, live entertainment and family activities inspired by the diverse season of celebrations in Southern California.
After-Hours, Separately Ticketed Events Return in 2025
Looking for more exciting celebration? After-hours events for all ages feature shorter wait times for select attractions, special entertainment, themed food and beverages, plus unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the event. Events include Sweethearts Nite (Jan. 21, 23, 28; Feb. 4, 6, 9, 11, 13), 90s Nite (March 4 and 6), Star Wars Nite (April 8, 10, 22, 24, 29; May 1, 4, 6), Pride Nite (June 16 and 18).
