Torrid has recently launched an 11-piece Star Wars collection with Her Universe! The Torrid Star Wars Collection features items inspired by the original trilogy and the new chapters. You’ll find Star Wars rain coats, Kylo Ren skater dress, Princess Leia sweatshirt and more.
The really unique thing about this collection, is several of the pieces are re-imaginings of the original costumes. Some of these apparel items really make you feel like you’re in the movies themselves when you try them on. There are also patched jeans, and graphic items. You’ll find inspired pieces for the heroes, villains, and droids.
The Leia inspired pieces have me fan girling like crazy. The Princess Leia sweatshirt is inspired by her iconic costume. It has a form-fitting zip front with embroidered panels on the collar and tummy. The long sleeves have a cape attachment, which really give it the iconic Leia feel. The puffy vest is another item that looks like it jumped straight out of the movies. Not only does it look fierce, it’s also a functional item for keeping you warm when the temps are chilly.
Did I mention that there are Star Wars rain coats for grown-up yet? Well if I didn’t I am now! The blue transparent PVC hooded raincoat is a total throwback with a red trim and a snap button closure. It is detailed with a R2D2 character print all over, in case it wasn’t aww-worthy enough. The other rain coat is detailed with a black Star Wars character print all over, including many of the supporting cast.
The Dark Side hasn’t been forgotten! Slip into this jacket and cue up the John Williams theme. The Darth Vader French Terry knit style is inspired by Darth’s armor with embroidered detailing and an Empire embellished zipper front. This also has the wing like sleeves that make you feel like a princess even if you’re dressed up as the Dark Side. The Kylo Ren skater dress is so wonderfully detailed. The faux leather panels lend a sleek edge to the mesh paneled bodice emblazoned with a “Kylo” patch. The finishing touch is the high-low skirt which gives it a more fashion forward look.
