I grew up reading the Princess Diaries. Princess Mia seemed to be about my age. It always seemed like we were experiencing the same life events at the same time. I was so excited when the author of the series released the first book in the series for adults, Royal Wedding, in 2015. I read it the week it came out and couldn’t put it down. Recently, I discovered that I had missed the release of a second book in the series written for adults. I immediately went online and ordered myself a copy.
The latest installment in the series is titled The Quarantine Princess Diaries. It follows Princess Mia as she navigates life under lockdown in her home country of Genovia during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We hear stories of her husband being exposed to COVID, having to put health restrictions on her country, and so much more. Her grandmother is still there, ready to give us all her two cents, whether we want to hear from her or not.
