As a Disney fashionista (and addict) I like pretty things and things I can display to show my love of Disney. D23 Expo goers had the opportunity to meet with artist Miss Mindy and bring home signed art.
Miss Mindy is a California artist known for her cutesy designs and reimaginings of princesses, villains, and classic Disney characters alike.
To rep the villains, a Maleficent statue showcases a scene within the folds of her dark, enchanting skirt. The Aurora statue, however, offers all things sweet with a whimsical woodsy scene entrenched in the folds of her pink skirt.
The Belle statue features the signature Beauty and the Beast stained glass. I must say – this one is my favorite!
What would Belle be without her sidekicks Cogsworth and Lumiere? These renderings are too cute. I hope Miss Mindy continues to make different princesses and villains, along with their sidekicks.
And if you can’t choose, there is nothing wrong with being “basic” or rather – classic – and staying the Mickey and Minnie way with her cute musician sculpture.
But if you think Miss Mindy is just the brains behind statues, think again. She creates beautiful prints, like this Wildflowers print from Alice in Wonderland.
As a lover of all things gold and with Alice being my fan favorite, this art piece caught my eye. My wallet, however, weeped at the $1,800 or so price tag.
