It wasn’t too long ago that we shared the news of the cast member handbag collection being released slowly over this holiday weekend. Today was the release of the Great Movie Ride and Tower of Terror Cast Member Collection handbags. To say the release was a success is actually alarmingly understated!
The release was a killer success. Many fashionistas were already in line to check out the release of the Christmas Dooney and Bourke bags so it was basically a 2 for 1 because it was also the line for the Cast member bags! There were 3 silhouettes of Tower of Terror and The Great Movie Ride available. Many cast members that worked at The Great Movie Ride attraction were there to see the newest handbags. To say they were thrilled is also an understatement!
These bags were an extremely limited release. They will not be on the Shop Disney Parks App and they were in store purchase only. They were sold out of almost everything before Lindsay (a fellow fashionista writer) and our preferred personal shopper had even left the store. They were lucky enough to grab us some pics and info, though!
The Great Movie Ride bags are seen above. They sold out first and that’s not super shocking. People are still sad to have seen that ride leave us (on a secondary note, if you are looking for any Farewell to the Great Movie Ride merchandise, Diane may still have some so check HERE).
The Tower of Terror still had a few of the smallest bags left but very minimal. See what I mean. This was all that was left after about 2 hours.
I believe retail is $48/$18/$16 respectively… I could be wrong. Diane was taking requests prior to the release, with no promises of being able to grab any. I am not sure if she is able to fill any more orders but, if you are interested, you can email her at shopthemeparks@gmail.com to ask.
Tomorrow is the release of the Haunted Mansion Cast Member Costume Collection which is sure to be another crazy huge success! I am hoping this concept is continued because don’t we all love the Case Member Costumes? It’s really a genius concept!
