Am I the only one who still carries a checkbook with them? I can’t tell you how many times my checkbook has come in handy!
One time, I was in a (very) small town, vacationing with some friends. This is the kind of small town where there is one grocery store, and it is not open on Sundays. We were at the butcher and decided to pick up some steaks for dinner – shopping for five adults, our total came to well over $60.00. As I pulled my credit card from my wallet, the kind cashier looked apologetic as she said “cash or check only.”
Now, I’m not one to carry cash on me, and neither are my friends. So we are all standing there with 5 New York strip steaks all wrapped up and ready to go on the counter. And that’s when I remembered my checkbook! Luckily, I had my checkbook tucked away in my purse and I’ve never been happier about it. And yes, my checks are Disney Princess themed too.
